An intensive one-year master’s degree with an international cohort of 90 students under the guidance of leading academics from 41 partner universities. Based in Venice, Italy, the program covered the political, legal, and sociological history of human rights and democratization.

I concluded the program with a master’s thesis written in Poznan, Poland under supervision of Professor ZdzisΕ‚aw KΔ™dzia, Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (United Nations).

Politics and Organizing
in Chicago

πŸŽ“ Loyola University Chicago
I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Minors in Philosophy and Psychology, competed on an Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team, served in Student Government, and earned a paid fellowship to research the Democratization of the European Parliament. Outside of the classroom, I worked in internships at the City of Chicago Office of the Mayor and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

 

✊ Organizing in the Windy City
Chicago’s rich history of community organizing inspired me while I lived there. I attended meetings of community organizations Northside P.O.W.E.R, Lakeview Action Coalition, and Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation. I put what I saw into practice, founding Loyola’s first student organizing group: Loyola Organized in Action.

Data Science (Python), General Assembly –Β I organized a multi-disciplinary local team at the City of Peoria to complete a 10-week intensive Data Science course through General Assembly. I coordinated a capstone project that sought to improve municipal decision-making.

NCI Charrette + Design Thinking, Harvard University Graduate School of DesignA certificate program that combined principles of design thinking with the traditional community planning and architecture method of charrettes. Held in person at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design campus.

Human-Centered Design Series, IDEO UCompleted a series of three human-centered design courses that covered ethnographic research, storytelling, and extracting insights from design research.
